I understand architecture as a practice: a field of continuous inquiry and refinement. This inquiry doesn't end with a correct or definitive answer, but is continuously refined through exploration within various media: the architectural drawing, the physical model, the written word.
I am neither strictly traditional nor obsessively innovative. I respect tradition and typology, but I do not hold these precedents as sacred and untouchable. I seek rather to continue the work of refining architecture for the particular constraints of today's time and place.
The result is a practice that is grounded and quietly confident. Beautiful and enduring.
